HOMES FOR UKRAINE JOB OPPERTUNITY

WORK AND LIVE ON THE BEACH IN THE UK

LIVE-IN HOUSEKEEPER

Want to get paid to work as well as a safe place to live in the UK?  I live in a coworking / coliving hotel next to the beach in Lancashire, England. You will be living and working in a large house for Digital Nomads with other like-minded co-workers from all over the world.

As I live here, I can take one person under the 'Homes for Ukraine' sponsorship scheme and let someone from Ukraine live here. If you are interested in working and earning a salary as well as having a place to live, then this opportunity could be for you.

25 HOURS PER WEEK

You need to be able to work up to 25 hours per week, 5 days a week. The hours are flexible depending on when check-ins are arriving and what is going on within the hotel guests' community.

This is why if you are working online, the role fits in well with your online commitment. You are working on your own projects whilst being in the coworking room with the guests, and are around, just in case you are needed. You don't need to be in the hotel all the time. The beach, the town, the horse riding school are all near by. Lost of free time to do your own thing. If some one contacts you, it's fine to say " I am out, will be back at x, will speak with you then".

Normal hours are max few hours a day of light cleaning and dealing with guests or events that you have organised with them. The rest of the time is yours.

THE JOB

  •  Toilet-4 /showers-2/kitchen-1, need light cleaning once a day. kitchen bin emptying once a day. Max one hour a day.
  • Deep clean toilet/shower/kitchen twice a week. Can be done by you or our existing cleaner can continue (comes in for two hour shifts on Monday & Thursday - but comes out of the budget for the housekeeper. Around £250 per month).
  • Organise one or two events per week with guests (around 5 or 6 people is normal). Theatre, group house dinners, walks,  movie night, etc.
  • Max 5 check-ins per month. Some times none. You need to be around when they arrive before 9.00 pm ( door code access after this time) to check them in and explain house rules etc.
  • Room changeovers, max 5 a month, some times none. Strip beds, wash sheets and clean rooms.

LIVE-IN ACCOMMODATION

  • Own room, shared bathroom.
  • The room has sink with hot and cold water in the room.
  • You share the staff kitchen with the owner, or use the communal kitchen with the guests, up to you.
  • 300m from a sandy beach.
  • 15 mins from town centre, theatres, clubs, all kinds of entertainment.
  • 5 minutes walk to supermarkets.
  • 3 minutes walk to the beach.

TRAINING

  • No experience required.
  • Coliving is one of the biggest growth areas in hospitality. I provide full training on how to operate & run a successful Coliving Hotel.
  • Work here for a few years and your CV will take you anywhere you want in the world as the sector expands rapidly due to the death of the office and the growth of remote working. Digital Nomads are a very different kind of "tourists" and require different skill sets from the normal hotel skills taught in college.

YOU

  • No hotel experience required.
  • You need to want to make the coliving experience for our guests as good as you possibly can. That's it.
  • This means you need to be sociable, to be a good listener. Can deal with people at the same time, be willing to do some cleaning and other duties involved in running a 4-story 14-room house that is often full.
  • Must be ready to travel from Ukraine to UK. You will be met at the airport. Flights from Poland or Romania.

MONTHLY SALARY

  • Around £600 to £800 over and above what you will get from the UK government under the Homes for Ukraine system.
