The weather in March in Romania is normally still great for skiing but the weather starts to change in March and the snow normally melts in our village of Breb in March. The winter sledges are put away and the normal wooden carts are hooked back up behind the horses and the muck is spread on the land.

So its possible to go skiing over day in march up in the ski resort 20 minutes from our villas and yet be able to walk around the village with just fleece on and enjoy the locals hospitality with the sun shining down and spring is in the air. Or it can still be very cold and be a meter of snow in the village. Weather in Maramures in march can vary a lot. It’s still cold in the ski resort and the snow is always there in March unless there is a freak warm spell. I was in Breb last year in March and the weather was great with sunny days and warm(ish) weather aroudn lunch time.

Weather in Cluj Napoca is normally better in terms of temperature in March that up in the mountains. There can still be a load of snow on the ground or it can be clear, all depends but the road to our Villas is always clear so there is no problem is there is still snow.

Weather in Bucharest in March can be very pleasant or still cold dry and pleasant or all slushy. The snow begins to melt in March and spring is in the air.
