The Village Hotel – Breb Maramures
We’re not called “The Village Hotel in Breb” just because it sounds good. OK, so it sounds good. We are the Village Hotel because we feel this is the best way to describe your experience when in Breb and the accommodation you will be staying in. Each ‘room’ is a restored traditional Maramures wooden house. The people staying next door, are locals. Your milk is kept fresh in the cow till you need it. You have dinner with them as guests of the family. You will hear the gossip of the day from the village… or, depending on what you get up to – you be the gossip.
Casa Mica
It might be small, but we took two summers and a huge effort to renovate it. Casa Mica sleeps three people and you can cook a feast for and seat six people. Have a look at the history of the house.
Casa Veche
Casa Veche – Two double beds upstairs; bunk beds for two in the next room. One sofa/bed in the living room with open fire and central heating. Small kitchen and toilet shower room. Rebuilt and restored in 2011/12.
Lăcşoare
Lăcşoare is a 20 minutes walk up from Breb in the forest. Surrounded by trees and the sound of running water, it is the perfect place for our new backpacker camp and a lazy afternoon.
Zăpode
Zăpode has stunning views out over the Ukraine Carpathian mountains. Around 30 minute walk up from the village of Breb and totally private for party animals or if you just want to just get away from it all.

Reception
The reception area for the Village Hotel, lives up to our name. It’s the kitchen of our home. You will mix and meet with village life here and experience it how it really is from the moment you arrive.
