Tarek is our man at the Pyramids. He is a sheik and runs the family stable business, like his father and grandfather before him. He speaks great English and he knows horses. He also understands repeat business. In the five years of working together we have not had one complaint from our guests. A lot of staff from the British and American Embassy keep their liveries here and so the horses we get are normally their horses that need the exercise. This means they are well trained and do not want to throw you off like the nightmare stories you here about from other stables.

I rarely feel small, but standing next to Tarek, at least I don't feel big! When you meet Tarek, tell him you want to have a look around the stables, if you want to. He will assume you want to get off and out into the desert asap but if he knows you want to have a look around, he will get one of his boys to show you the many well kept stables and horses he has around the back. He' says he has more than 100, go and have a look for yourself.
