Sasha is 17 and is keen to start her chosen carrier of a tour leader. Sasha got her first proper job beginning in the summer of 2010 as a trainee tour leader with one of the Africa Overland tour companies based in England. She was in the UK for her last year of study for GCSE's having passed three already from her home schooling and in August 2009 she got her results and passed a total of ten GCSE's. Who knows when we will see Sasha in Siwa next, but for now she is on the road some where in Syria and enjoying her new job.

Sasha has worked on the building of the Siwa Villa and has been a waitress in Abu's restaurant as well as the Shali Lodge and the New Star and accompanies Duncan on some of the All Inclusive Family tours we do around Egypt.

Sasha is learning her trade and how to deal with tourists from all nationalities and how to take care of our guests who stay at the Siwa Villa. Sasha is part of the team and helps out where needed when she is around. Sasha helps out on the Desert Safari's guiding our guests through the fossils in the desert to sorting the blankets and doing all the washing up.

People question our ethics with the 'children's education'. Show me children in the UK that by the time they are 17 have had years of work experience, have passed 10 GCSE's, are well on there way to being fluent in a second language, visited over 20 countries, know how to make a fire, have fun, change a tire and build a house and managed to get her first proper job on her own with out her parents help.

Sasha is a good little worker and is enjoying learning her trade. She speaks Arabic and the local Berber language which is very different to Arabic and English of course. Sasha is available for guided tours around Siwa and a good source of sussing out who is who in town;)
