Terms and Conditions for bookings
All bookings are not confirmed until we receive a 25% deposit. Once we receive this payment we confirm you booking and make the deposit payments to hotels, cars, guides etc to make sure they are booked for your trip to Siwa. There is a lot of work that goes into this and so if you cancel your holiday for any reason the 25% deposit is not refundable as we have paid out the deposits to our suppliers.
We require full payment one month in advance for Normal and High seasons, and 6 weeks in advance for Peak season (Christmas and Easter) of you arriving in Egypt. If when you have made the full payment you choose to cancel your holiday for any reason, we will refund 50% or you booking fee but again we will be loosing money as we will have paid for the hotels and cars etc in full by this time. If for any reason you choose to cancel, or advised to cancel, you should claim your holiday on holiday insurance. We are happy to provide a receipt for you holiday to cover any insurance claims.
For Peak Seasons (Christmas and Easter) the 50% non-refundable fee applies to cancellations made any time later than 6 weeks prior to your arrival date
We are a small family business and so any cancellations make a big difference to us and if we have paid out for your holiday in full in the month before you arrive we are not able to get the money back. If you travel to Egypt with a large travel company you will find their terms and conditions are actually tighter than ours and you will often got any refund from them as they state you need to claim all your holiday from your insurance.
Saying that, any guest who were not able to come to Siwa during the revolution, we refunded all the money in full as it was not their fault they could not come. When the flights started again and everything was OK, people who wanted to change, just because they fancied going to Turkey instead now, lost their 25% deposits. Egypt is stable now and there are no problems any more. If, anything does happen again and flights stop coming to Egypt, we will reimburse any one the full amount, as we did before.
Best Wishes
Duncan
