Weather in Romania in September
The weather in September in Romania is still hot and sunny and often as hot as August or July and dryer. The crops are nearly complete and the mad rush ( Maramures style) of getting all the hay in is coming to and end in September, unless the summer has not been good and so they might still be all out in the fields working late to get the hay stacked and into the barns. If you come and visit us on one of our Transylvania Tours or book one of our villas direct you will visit other parts of Romania as well as Maramures so I have put the details of the weather in Romania in September there as well. Below are the temperatures for Maramures, Bucharest and Cluj Napoca
Weather in Maramures in September is normally still hot and sunny days with warm evenings so still great for sleeping out in one of our cabanas or up at one of the sheep stations if your feeling brave. The high season is over yet the weather is still great and so a good time to visit and stay on one of our villas if your travelling without out children who go to school. So if you homes school your kids or you don’t have any yet, September is a great month to visit Maramures. Sitting around a fire in September is T shirt weather and hotter than any September you will experience in the UK. It can change the weather in September and be cooler, but we have not seen this yet.
Average temperature during September in Maramures is still warm and 20 degrees during the day but it can be as high as 30 degrees if the summer weather is still in full sing. It is normally around 9 degrees at night but there will be several days when the weather is still very warm at night so still great for sleeping out and watching the stars fro your sleeping bag set around an open fire outside one of our cabanas. If your interested in visiting Romania in September have a look at our Transylvania tours or book one of our villas direct that we run all year round.

Weather in Cluj Napoca in September is like August, hot and sunny still, but the evenings start to get cooler and so nice if your don’t like the heat all the time. It normally doesn’t rain in September which is one of the driest months of the year. If you come to Breb on one of our Transylvania Tours or you have booked the villa direct, you will pass through the heart of rural Transylvania and some some very scenic country side where you see the ‘beware of the beers’ signs and the is a nice gorge you drive through for half an hour so before climbing the Carpathian mountain and then head down the other side towards Cavnic and on to old Maramures and our village of Breb.
Average temperature in September in Cluj Napoca is 20 degrees in the day but it is often a lot warmer than this around lunch time, the time you come out of the airport and a low of 9 degrees at night.
Weather in Bucharest in September is great it’s still hot and sunny and all the beautiful woman are back from the beach turning even more heads in the old city where they walk up and down the cobbled streets. Bucharest can get very hot in Augusts and so September is often a better month to visit Bucharest of your coming on our Bucharest & Transylvania Tour our your flying in from other parts of Europe that do not fly to our nearest airport in Cluj.
Average temperature during September in Bucharest is 21 degrees during the day and a low of 9 degrees at night but my experience of Bucharest is it is much warmer than this most of the time in September having lived her all September in 2010.
Cloths recommended for September in Romania – T shirt, it is still very much summer weather clothes and a light weight waterproof as it does still occasionally rain up in the mountains. But it still never gets cold in September in the day unless your sleeping out right on the top of Gutia Mountain or your very unlucky, but a fleece or light jacket is a good idea like the picture above taken in the late afternoon in September 2010.
