Budesti Village

Budesti Maramures

Budesti is the next village along from Breb. It is very similar to Breb although Budesti is along the main road, and so even though Budesti is a laid back sleepy Maramures village it has the feeling of being a lot busier as the traffic moves through quickly swooshing around the horse drawn carriages bringing the hay home in the evening. We visit Budesti when we walk through the hills to Sarbi. I find Sarbi more interesting than Budesti but the church here is very interesting as it has the chain mail from Pintea Viteazul a true life Robin hood from Maramures and easy accessible in the center of the village, if you can find the woman with the key;)
