Cluj Napoca Hotels

Hotels in Cluj Napoca are good and not too expensive for what they are. We are now working with two hotels and one hostel in Cluj Napoca. We have had guest stay at all three and when we stay in Cluj we stay at the Retro. All three are located right in the middle of town and have different styles.

The Retro Hostel – is very friendly with very good English speaking receptionists who are helpful and knowledge on where to find what in Cluj, not matter how strange the request. There is always some back packers staying in the hostel you can share a beer with in the hostel or in one of the many bars within a stones through of the hostel. Retro Hostel responds to emails and will confirm your booking with you before you arrive. Here is the Retro Hostel web site what trip advisor says about it.

The Melody Hotel If you want a bit of the old commie feel for your nights stay in Cluj Napoca before you come up and stay with us in Breb Maramures. If you have some young children with you, this can be a good choice. The Melody Hotel has a large family room at reasonable prices and a large view out over the main square and church. It can get a bit nosy especially of there is a wedding party staying, but don’t complain, go down stairs and gate crash the party and enjoy, you can get a good nights sleep when you get to Breb and stay in our one of our villas. Have had a few problem with confirming booking by email with the Melody so I normally telephone to confirm a booking with them. Here is what they say about it on trip adviser.

The Fulton Hotel – If you want a good nights sleep and don’t mind paying a bit extra for a smaller room, the Fulton Hotel is a great place to stay and enjoy the old streets of Cluj Napoca. It is located right in the center near the street bars and restaurants but in a quite street off the main roads. It is a boutique hotel completely restored only a few years ago and the restaurant is very reasonably priced for what it is. Running water fall and all. The Fulton responds to emails and you can book ahead and be sure of a bed when you arrive. This is what they say about it on trip advisor.
