Buses – Cluj Napoca Airport

Buses – If you want to get the bus into Cluj Napoca, walk out of the airport passed the ever so expensive taxi drivers who only talk you in euros and assume every foreigner is rich and stupid. They refuse to put their meters on and quote at least 25 euros for the 5 euro taxi ride into the center. It takes just a few minutes to get out of their grasp and out of the airports entrance. Turn right and walk 50 meters to the first bus stop and get the no. 8 bus into town. It goes straight into town and cost maybe 1le. People on the bus will show you how to get a ticket and off you go. It’s easy and no hassle. A much better introduction to the country than the sleazy taxi drivers at the airport.

You can either take the no. 8 bus all the way into the center or if you are coming to Breb by train you need to change and get the no. 4 bus, or get off anywhere and get a taxi that will charge you the normal rate and take you straight to the station that is called ‘Gara’ in Romanian.
