Somewhere Different is in the process of putting together
an all
inclusive holiday to Gilf Keber that includes
the Pyramids in Cairo and three days in the Siwa
Villa to experience life in Siwa and the surrounding
desert.
We will start in Cairo, meeting you at the airport
and staying in a very nice traditional hotel in Down
Town. A three hour horse ride around the pyramids
will be followed by a trip to 'Islamic Cario' and
a 5km walk through the medieval streets and markets.
We will then move down to Siwa were we will stay in
the Siwa Villa experiencing the Siwan culture, eating
with locals and visiting the highlights of the surrounding
desert.
We make final checks and head off for Bahariya and
the Gilf beyond, staying for a few days on the Gilf
and returning through the great sand sea to Siwa where
you will stay in the Siwa Villa once again and then
move on to Cairo and off home. The size of the groups
we are able to take are a minimum of six increasing
by 3 people at a time ( the number of people traveling
in a jeep), so we can accommodate 9, 12, 15 and so
on up to as many as you like.
The more people that travel, the safer it is due
to the additional number of jeeps making the journey.
All jeeps will be 60 Toyota Land Cruisers and be fully
prepared for the trip.
The difference with our trips is we do not add in
additional travelers to the group. If we don't get
a group of people of more than nine people, we just
don't go. The trip is personalised for your group
and your individual interests.
There may be a small additional cost for late bookings
for flights if you are coming at a busy time and the
cost of flights are higher than normal ... so book
in advance;)
Gilf Keber Tour -Costs
The cost for the trip will be around £1,700
per person, but this needs to be confirmed once the
itinerary and desert permit costs have been confirmed.
