Weather in October in Egypt

The weather in Egypt in October can is like an English summer with out the rain and sunny every day. It can till be quite hot in October but it is normally the best month for visiting the desert if you want to be out in the desert during the heat of the day, especially in Siwa Oasis.

Warm during the day and still warm at night. I have traveled all over Egypt in October and the weather does vary at this time of year from place to place. As a rule though, it is warm and sunny during the day, and can still be a bit too warm around 2.00pm. You don’t need to carry a waterproof but it can rain on the coast or in Cairo in October, but don’t plan for it.

Below are the temperatures for Siwa, Alexandria and Cairo. If you have any questions on the weather or your trip to Egypt, please feel free to get in contact with us here at Somewhere Different and we will try and help you with your questions. If you would like to come and experience Somewhere Different’s version of Egypt, have a look at our All inclusive holidays.

Weather in Siwa The ‘big hot days’ have gone by now and the weather is very nice. Avoiding the mid day sun is still a must, but only for a few hours and the rest of the day is fine and not too hot in the sun. If your a compulsive sun bather, you are guaranteed as much frying weather as you can handle. October is a good month for this as you can fry for a full 10 hours every and probably not actually cook your skin. The evenings are cool in October and sleeping out in the desert will require a blanket to keep warm but as long as you have a fire you do not feel the cold just before the sun rises. See details on the Siwa Villa or have a look at our new summer 100% desert and dunes tour that we still run on Oct as the flights from Gatwick and Manchester are still running direct into Marsa Matruh.

Average temperature during the day in October for Siwa is 24-29 degrees and a low of 13-17 degrees at night.

I T shirt should be fine for all hours of the day, unless your planning on being out very late in which case you will need a jacket as the heat leaves the ground in the early hours of the morning.
