I have worked with guides in Cairo for five years and to begin with had some guests giving me feedback of being 'encouraged' to pay more, or visit their brothers carpet shop etc. For the last year I have been working with six very good guides, all women, all fully trained and all fully aware that taking care of my guest leads to making them fell good inside, as well as repeat business.they are paid well and they do not need to make any money from commissions.
We guarantee that any one who takes a tour with one of our guides and is ripped off or hassled to buy expensive junk from a pushy tout will be given their money back or sent to their bank account if you have already left the country. This is because our guides do not do this. They are all managed by our lead guide Rasha and every tour is checked for any problems. So far, we have had a 100% satisfaction rate of our tours in Cairo, and we intend to keep it that way.
The one problem we have with our guides is they do get booked up and so it is best to make your booking for any tour in Cairo, especially if it is in the winter months, well in advance. |
